Women can also play a key role in surgery. I hope to inspire others but deep inside I am not certain I can do this.

Vicky is now in the second year of her specialist training to become a plastic surgeon. In a profession dominated by men, she is often filled with self-doubt and afraid to take on the role of a leader, a role that surgery demands.

At home, she faces another challenge. Her parents worry that she wonโ€™t be able to cope with the suffering of others, and they grow increasingly concerned that she is still unmarried due to her dedication to her studies.

Vicky learns that being a surgeon requires far more than technical skill; she must overcome her own fears and the prejudices of others in order to take control and become the surgeon that she has always dreamt of being.
